Who We Are
RUNWITHIT Synthetics is a women-led, Certified Indigenous Business recognized for its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in its hiring practices, corporate culture, and the environments and data it builds for clients. RWI’s highly technical team is representative and diverse. All team members are GBA+ certified, and we are working towards 100% staff training in the First Nations Principles of OCAP®, “Ownership, Control, Access, and Possession.”
Our Story
Dean and Myrna Bittner launched RWI Synthetics in 2014 to address the expensive and frustrating problems that complex digital systems face when confronted with reality. They brought deep backgrounds in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation together to wrap these systems in worlds, activities, and conditions indistinguishable from what they would face. These uniquely included the decisions and unique behaviors of the people using them through our Synthetic Populations.
Starting with IoT and IIoT systems, moving towards creating larger and more representative synthetic cities and regions, and now having created Synthetic Earth, people and communities have remained at the heart of what we do.
RWI’s synthetic realities are now high-value, strategic accelerators, de-risking innovation and ensuring decision-makers and leaders have the augmented, collaborative intelligence needed to create visibly better futures.
While our first city environments focused on connections between the energy transition and electrification, disaster response, mitigation, and resilience scenarios, we’re constantly adapting our work to new and exciting sectors, such as supporting Indigenous sovereignty, urban and economic development, social policy, and health and medicine.
By combining our expertise, state-of-the-art technology, and drive to make the world a better home for its people and communities, we reimagine complex challenges into practical solutions.
