This challenge sought solutions to the global issue of sustainable mobility. Airbus, in collaboration with the World Economic Forum, is striving to support the transformation of mobility. The goal is to find scalable solutions with a positive environmental impact and a viable path to a relevant market. Invited were academia, research, start-ups, established businesses, and individuals to come forward with highly original ideas.

RWI’s submission was part of an unprecedented group of net-zero mobility technologies under consideration. Net-zero mobility futures require diverse technologies to work together to accomplish a configuration of optimizations. Each one of the other nine finalists’ solutions demonstrates an essential role in achieving global net-zero mobility futures, from energy solutions to EVTOL ambulances, and carbon capture.

Accurate Live Models

Accurate Live Models

In this challenge, RWI brought people to the net-zero future of mobility, its sustainability, enjoyability, economics, accessibility, and inclusivity through a hyperlocalized, synthetic living lab. In RWI’s living lab we can make any change and calculate the impacts. Through the use of a synthetic modelling platform (SMP), RWI advances mobility, energy, and resilience futures. The SMP uses models to accelerate the advancement of new technologies, policies, infrastructure, investments, and new forms of transportation, where every mobility choice has impacts on equity, sustainability, and GHG calculations.

RWI will continue advancing net zero mobility futures by accelerating sustainable, accessible, safe, and inclusive mobility for all. Net-zero mobility is our future!
