RWI has designed Synthetic Environments to model extreme heat conditions before, and now it’s time to do the same for extremely cold climates like Alaska!

Energy and transportation are two of the most critical components of Alaska’s infrastructure. As Alaska faces all kinds of growth and modernization within electrification, decarbonization, and digitalization there are opportunities to inform the choices and design of systems with complex, interconnected dependencies and impacts. Humankind is driving an unprecedented energy transition that puts our grids at risk and furnishes opportunities to uplift remote communities’ energy futures. The harsh winters in Alaska result in unique energy consumption patterns, challenge renewables such as photovoltaics, and create dramatic electricity costs; the country faces extreme challenges that RWI’s technology would tackle in location, culture and condition specific models.

Launch Alaska’s 2020 Tech Deployment Track (TDT) aims to advance talented entrepreneurs committed to environmental and social impact, recognizing that great founders come from diverse backgrounds. RWI is among the 23% of companies in the 6th cohort from outside of the US, and one of the 55% of companies with female executives. TDT is a leading, Anchorage-based deployment accelerator program aiming to contribute to community and climate resilience in Alaska. RWI looks forward to revolutionizing the future of Alaska’s energy and transportation infrastructure!
