RWI Synthetics nominated as Semi-Finalists for the City Architecture for Tomorrow Challenge (CATCH) by Toyota Mobility Foundation
RUNWITHIT started modelling the disruptions in energy in 2019. Decarbonization, decentralization and digitalization are the three buzz trends that people around the world are attempting to solve, with renewables, infrastructure, policy, and smart technologies. For us, the interesting part happened when we began to put all of these solutions together, connecting them in specific cities, each with their own peculiarities and configurations, and then adding people. We find that the way people think, act, and use energy- each with all of their household characteristics, demographics and psychographics - changes the outcomes in ways that make dramatic differences to how quickly, inclusively, and successfully any form of energy transition takes place.
For the City Architecture for Tomorrow Challenge (CATCH), RUNWITHIT is thrilled to be one of 16 global semi-finalists, with the opportunity to include our electrified transportation modelling in this great design challenge for Kuala Lumpur. We look forward to working with the other semi-finalists and the partners including the Toyota Mobility Foundation, and Deloitte Future of Mobility Solution Centre to furnish the data-driven, connected and dynamic solutions driven by the people of Kuala Lumpur. The aim is to create a city-scale synthetic twin, a model that plays forward complex interrelationships. RUNWITHIT looks forward to advancing and quantifying what will contribute to achieving more secure and sustainable future cities.
