RUNWITHIT Synthetics Selected for Inaugural MaRS Adaptech Accelerator

Edmonton, Alberta (May 19, 2026) — Climate change is exacerbating one-in-a-lifetime incidents into chronic catastrophes, and decision-makers lack integrated, human-centred tools to advantage the strategic allocation of resources and to de-risk investments.

RUNWITHIT Synthetics Inc. (RWI), the world leader in applied Synthetic Twin technologies, has been selected as one of 9 companies for the inaugural MaRS Adaptech Accelerator 2026-2027 cohort, designed to help ventures accelerate the development of climate change adaptation and resilience solutions.

For RWI, climate-adaptation decision support is not new. Whether clients are exploring high-risk events such as cold snaps in Nashville or heat events in Calgary, the value of quantifying what people and systems will need to be ready for has fueled applications in leadership rooms around the world. RWI’s Synthetic Earth platform, built on our INFLECTOR AI technology, enables decision-makers to configure limitless, sophisticated sandbox scenarios to inform strategic investments. MaRS Adaptech’s two-year program will support RWI and 8 other solutionary leaders in helping Canadians prepare for, prevent, respond to, and recover from the impacts of climate change.

“There is no better time in Canada than now to understand the return on resilience that Adaptech offers. It is part of rising to the challenge of climate change and taking a risk with disruptive innovation to mitigate the risks posed by unpredictable futures. We look forward to working with the MaRS Team, participants, and partners to get ahead when it matters the most.”

- RWI CEO and Co-Founder Myrna Bittner

Turning complexity into clarity and coordinated action is time-consuming and expensive for many leaders. RWI’s experience in disaster preparedness and climate resilience alleviates some of the pressure by providing access to a visual, interactive analytics space, complete with an extensive, localized, high-fidelity model catalogue.

Now leaders can synthesize, demonstrate, and share returns on investment that are difficult to find in history and less believable in trendlines.

A recent example of informing adaptation included RWI’s energy insecurity Industry, Science and Economic Development Testing Stream Project with Shared Services Canada for rural and remote community preparedness. Leaders shared a 6D interactive interface, SEI4WARD, to assess the return on resilient energy technologies, including home energy generation and storage, during power outages from today through 2050.

This capability is sought after worldwide. RWI Synthetics recently signed an MOU with the Taiwan Indigenous Sustainable Development Association (TISDA), marking a new milestone in cross-border cooperation to inform Indigenous cleantech, disaster resilience, and sustainable development.

For RWI, adaptation now also includes preparing for additional national security complications. Protection extends to new technology, policy, supply chains, and resources - more factors to consider while preparing for the new climate reality.
